Meet Kristin
I grew up in a family where gathering was simply part of who we were. Most celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, homecomings, happened on the lower deck of my parents’ house overlooking the river. It wasn’t elaborate, but it was sacred. It was where stories were told, where joy and grief lived side by side, and where I learned that the ordinary moments often become the ones we remember most.
Those years shaped how I see celebration. They taught me that paper isn’t just paper, it’s a way of saying this matters. It’s a way of honoring a moment and creating something that will be held long after the day has passed. That belief is the foundation of KL Atelier.
What began as a love of paper crafting grew into a calling: creating heirloom‑quality stationery that honors life’s most meaningful moments. My work is rooted in understanding your story, your vision, and the emotion you want your guests to feel the moment they open the envelope.

Why Weddings
Weddings have a way of gathering people in a single moment of anticipation and joy. They mark a beginning, not just of a marriage, but of a shared story. I’m drawn to the emotion behind that moment: the way a date becomes a memory, the way a suite becomes the first glimpse into a celebration. Designing wedding stationery is an honor, and I approach it with the same care and reverence I learned on that lower deck.
Why Life Events
Life is full of quieter chapters that deserve to be witnessed, the arrival of a child, the celebration of a milestone, the honoring of a life well‑lived. These moments shape us just as deeply as the big ones. Creating stationery for life events allows me to help you hold onto those chapters with intention, beauty, and presence.
My Approach
My philosophy is simple - Design should feel calm, personal, and deeply considered.
I take time to understand the tone of your celebration, the colors that feel like you, and the emotion you want to share. Every suite is crafted with intention, from the first sketch to the final wax seal, with a focus on clarity, warmth, and heirloom quality.
Your stationery should feel like an extension of your story. Something your guests will hold, open, and remember.
